Grey Dove was founded in 2010 in response to the crushing humanitarian crisis in Haiti following a massive 7.0 earthquake which left 230,000 dead and 300,000 injured. As the country started to rebuild, it became clear that the government could not provide sustainable medical care to people living in rural and remote communities considering that many hospitals and clinics were reduced to rubble.
